Description
Hidden behind a café with red tones and curved light fixtures that bathe Rue des Archives in a golden glow, MOUSSE gradually reveals its true self as one of the Marais' most exclusive hair salons, where the journey unfolds like a revelation. From the seventies-style toilets with disco ball reflections to the washing antechamber clad in sea-green herringbone tiles, visitors are guided towards the main room, wrapped in a flattering powder pink, where six stations are arranged around round-bottomed mirrors sliding on arched wooden frames. Floors, partitions, and furniture—all crafted from colour-infused waxed concrete—merge in a single monolithic gesture, where the flowing arabesque, the venue's formal thread, elegantly unites the enjoyment of a specialty coffee with a beauty makeover.

Hidden at the back of a café, you'll discover one of the most exclusive hair salons in the Marais, a trendy district in the heart of Paris.

When walking down Rue des Archives, you can recognise Mousse’s storefront at a single glance, with its signature colour and curved light fixtures flooding the street with a warm glow through the window, but you would be mistaken to think that Mousse is just a simple café.

Continuing the journey, once past the characteristic 70s-style toilets that reflect the interior of a disco ball, you discover the hair-washing area. After the red tones of the café, you arrive in this space which contrasts with the sea green tiled floor laid in a herringbone pattern. The curves and interplay of mirrors that characterised the café are still present in the elements of this room.
And finally, we arrive at the main area of this hair salon; a room whose powder pink colour and warm lighting truly enhance the face. At the six styling stations, clients can observe their reflection in round-bottomed mirrors that glide along the ceiling on curved wooden structures.

Once again, the curved line plays a central role in this space, not only in the furniture, but also at every junction of the planes that define the area.
This effect is achieved because all surfaces in the space are made of self-coloured microcement. This creates a "monobloc" appearance between the floors and walls, where even the table seems to emerge seamlessly from the wall.

And so concludes the MOUSSE experience, which combines tasting a specialty coffee with self-care in a sublime hair salon, where the curve serves as the formal guiding thread for the user experience.
