Description

Pallice Palace is a manifesto of heritage respect and contemporary audacity. Metal frameworks, exposed beams, original walls: each element has been preserved, enhanced, and integrated into a new architectural narrative where Hazard Studio has balanced intervention and restraint with controlled elegance. Light plays an essential role in this revival, filtering through the spaces, highlighting the materials, and guiding movement to offer a sense of openness that the industrial past, far from being static, continues to enrich. To the north, L'Officine embodies this alliance of work and well-being: beneath a timber frame that tells the story of the rehabilitation, shared spaces bathed in natural light welcome calm, creativity, and exchange, while below, transition turns into pause, and encounters linger into the evening under the La Rochelle sky.

Pallice Palace is a manifesto of heritage respect and contemporary boldness in reading the site; the metallic structures, exposed wooden beams, original walls... every element has been preserved, sublimated, and integrated into a new architectural narrative. Hazard Studio has strived to balance intervention and restraint with clever elegance and great respect.

Right from the entrance to Pallice Palace Club, a whole world unfolds before our discerning eyes as heritage enthusiasts. The transition becomes a pause, conversations spark spontaneously, and the pleasure of meeting lingers long under the La Rochelle sky. Here, we savour those suspended moments, where discussions come alive over a drink in the vibrant atmosphere of impromptu after-work gatherings.

One of the project's pillars would be the northern axis, where l'Officine embodies the alliance of work and well-being by hosting the offices of the event communication agency Ici La Terre.

At the top, the timber frame tells the story of heritage rehabilitation — the former port is reborn as shared workspaces, bathed in natural light, designed to inspire calm and creativity. Visitors will find a welcoming and stimulating environment that is perfect for exchange, quiet, focus, and creativity.

Light plays an essential role in this rebirth. It flows through the spaces, highlights materials, reveals textures and guides movement. Each area seems to breathe, offering a sense of openness and fluidity that contrasts with the density of the original building. The industrial past is never static: it engages in a constant dialogue with contemporary interventions designed to accommodate new uses.
